The Revcon motorhome dates back to 1968, when a man named John Hall conceived the idea of a low-profile, front-drive coach with a lightweight aluminum monocoque body. This was not entirely a coincidence since John was the stepson of Wally Byam of Airstream Trailer fame.
Production started in Fountain Valley, CA, with the 1972 model using the Oldsmobile Toronado 455 engine and drive system. By the end of the 1970s, however, Olds had downgraded their drive systems, which were no longer suitable for motorhome use, so Revcon designed their own front-wheel drive system using the Chevrolet 454 engine. They also redesigned the nose of the coach at this time to the beautiful streamlined shape that was in use with minor variations until the end of production in 1989.
It's not hard to imagine the impact these coaches had 20 and 30 years ago when they were so far ahead of all the competition that they still do not look outdated in today's world.

The 28' Revcon for sale was purchased in January 2002. I believe I am the third or fourth owner. The coach is so nice (everything works) and easy to drive that in March I purchased another 1982 Revcon six feet longer! This coach is front wheel drive...a dream on the road. It has a Auxiliary tank so you can travel 800 miles without stopping for gas. It runs on regular unleaded. The 454 is a workhorse that is still in use today. Any problems can be easily addressed by any mechanic with knowledge of General Motors....you will pass by Diesel Pushers waiting for days and weeks for parts.
This is the perfect starter coach. It had a sleeping sofa removed so it is built only for two people. It can easily be converted back to sleep four people. For two it is perfect! There is always room at a RV park and very easy to park overnight (with blessing) at a WalMart or Cracker Barrel.
